Music in the Church
The Adult Choir, directed by Brenda Krahling and accompanied by Lorenda Glade, consists of approximately 20 members. Rehearsals are held at 8:15 p.m. on Wednesday nights from September through mid May. Mixtures of traditional and contemporary songs are sung at church services 1 - 2 times per month. Occasionally a cantata is presented at Christmas or spring. More members are always welcome. Contact Brenda Krahling if interested in joining.
The Chime Choir, directed by Lois Timmermann, is composed of 12 regular members and 3 substitutes. A variety of seasonal and general church music is played using a three octave set of chimes. Rehearsals are held at 7:15 p.m. on Wednesday nights from September through April. If interested in playing chimes, contact Lois Timmermann.
The Logos Choirs, comprised of students enrolled in the Wednesday night Logos Program rehearse 2 or 3 times monthly from September until Easter. The 2-6 grade Logos Choir is directed by Carol Rockman and accompanied by Kris Vipond. The 9-12 grade Logos Choir is directed by Brenda Krahling and accompanied by Lorenda Glade. One Sunday each month the Logos choirs present uplifting and upbeat music for the church service.
The Praise Team leads contemporary Christian praise songs at the Celebration Services. These non-traditional services are held the last Sunday of the month from September through May during regular church time. Praise Team members meet at 9:00 a.m. Sunday mornings to prepare songs for the Celebration Service. More singers and instrumentalists are needed. Contact Brenda Krahling if interested.
