Frequently asked Questions (and answers).
Question: How does TELC serve?
Outreach is alive and well and growing at TELC. Weekly Noisy offerings or Buckets of Bucks are a joyful part of our giving to local and global needs. Giving beyond ourselves, of our time and our talents, is all part of the TELC Ministry.
Question: How does TELC share?
Trinity has a desire to share the faith. Sunday School and a week of Vacation Bible School begin at age 3 and continues through high school. Wednesday evening our youth are active in Luther’s Kids (through grade 6), Confirmation (grades 7-8) and high school youth group. Choir tops off our Wednesday evening, where high school youth and adults sing together.
Adult opportunities to learn include a weekly Men’s Bible Study at 8 a.m. on Saturday mornings. Ask about our Women’s Weely Bible Study. Join the men and women downtown at the Lantern Coffeehouse on Wednesdays at 9 a.m. Meals are shared and greatly enjoyed in our lovely and spacious fellowship hall. All are invited; come and stay for coffee following worship!
Question: How does TELC worship?
There is variety and tradition alive in worship here at Trinity! We share the meal of Holy Communion, where Jesus is present in bread and wine. We baptize with water, and celebrate our life as children of God.
We confess our sin and hear the promise and gift of forgiveness proclaimed in words spoken and read. We listen to the word of God from the Bible. We sing beloved hymns and new songs of praise. Once a year we celebrate worship with a Polka Service!
We share the peace and give offerings with thanksgiving to God. We go out in the power of the Spirit, to “serve the Lord!”
